The photos could be a challenge. Trying to get Gerome and the background in focus at the same time can be difficult. This is due to depth-of-field (google the term it if you like).
Strategies:
1. Keep Gerome in line with what you are photographing..so they are at the same distance.
2. Focus on Gerome until your camera beeps (keep your finger on the shutter and the focus locked) then shift to adjust your composition, and completely press the shutter release (button you push to take a picture).
3. New cameras have Face Recognition..Gerome has a face.
